Keeping the Lights on - EoFF

I realized I am still around for almost half a year (& also the top poster, you're welcome) after returning despite this place being so dead. Surprisingly, I did not have this much interest when it was more active mainly due to the drama and the nasty people I guess. The folks that remain are definitely nicer and more mature. :kaoclove:

Coming here to spam post really make me feel young like a teenager again! I wish I could behave more like this IRL though. I LOVE all you mothersmurfers that still hang out & post here. :bigsmile:

So for those people/unknown lifeforms reading this, what are your thoughts for still being here!?

For me this place is so much ingrained in my life that I don't think I'll ever really stop checking it. There are good and nasty people pretty much everywhere on the internet so I don't think EoFF was ever too bad for me in that regard.

I'm glad I have stuck around, though. It's better than mainstream social media by a massive distance.

Yep, this is it! I stopped actively posting long before this place went dark, but I don't think there's been a day when I haven't checked to see what's been posted since the day I joined more than 20 years ago (fuck me)

It's just part of the routine. And yes now that it's gone quiet I'm a lot more inclined to participate than I was 10 years ago. But I suppose that also has more to do with things being a lot more relaxed than they used to be.

Me and Pauw still sometimes talk about old EoFF days and I genuinely marvel at how invested people were in this whole thing. Like legit boggles my mind some of the stuff that happened here over the years. But then again, here we are, still here. Still checking in.

I didn't post too much back in the day, but I loved to lurk. And then I kind of disappeared for a few years but I always thought about EoFF. I'm glad this place is still around!
