Ain't even gonna lie; I didn't super enjoy Elden Ring.

Just picked this up the other day, and now that I've finished Eiyuden Chronicles Hundred Heroes, I've diving in and enjoying just exploring.
I never got back to talking about this. I will say that, as usual, From Software knocked it out of the park with this DLC and it's worth the purchase. I know the price tag is a bit hefty for some, but this is not really DLC as much as it's close to being an expansion pack. The Land of Shadow is huge, like the size of two large maps from the base game and with something like 70 new weapons ,more armor, spells, and some of the best boss fights in the game. It even manages to mix it up a bit with some unique enemy encounters, with my favorite being the Winter Lantern inspired Aging Untouchable whose area and mechanics turns it into more of a stealth section. The locales are gorgeous as well and the lore is pretty damn awesome and really re-contextualizes some of the stuff from the main game and makes all the endings in the original even more ambiguous. We get details about Marika's origin, why Omens and the Crucible are shunned, finally learn about Miquella properly, learn more about the Ancient Dragons history, and have one of the more unique NPC quest lines in the series.
I had a blast with it, even if I had to cheese the final boss at the end.
So this game I actually have, not the DLC though. Much like Witcher, I will eventually play it many years after it is in style and probably really like it.
