Okay... I haven't been playing it too often lately... but when I tried it today, it started to make really loud noises. When I put it vertically, however, the noises went away. What's going on?

Perhaps try cleaning it? *dunno*
I only use my PS2 in the vertical position anyway, takes up less space :)
I'd do that... but something about that seems unstable. And I heard that it scratches the CDs sometimes (perhaps just a rumor)?Quote:

Playstation 2 seems to be very faulty. (Read.) I hope yours is still under warranty. As for me, I think I'll go with Cube.
...Or PS2. Whichever my dad decides to "surprise" me with.
Oh believe me, it's no rumor. My friend got one of his DVD-roms badly scratched. It was also making funny sounds. =\Quote:
