Tables in Opera
I don't recall what the settings are to get the vBulletin tables to all display the same width, but anyway. If after all the poster data, you inserted a line break and then the following code:
<img src="images/space.gif" height=1 width=165>
That'd mean that the poster column, instead of being a variable-width jumble, would display with a constant width under Opera. FF:WA inserted such a contraption recently into its template, and I put one in at Fool's Gold a long time ago, almost as soon as I started using Opera. Viewing those forums is now far more pleasing to the eye, in my view. If you're not convinced yet, I've attached a screenshot to show what happens currently.
Anyhow. If you feel like adding that to the template, I'd be happy, obviously.
Peace
Aaron

Yeah that's the exact same problem I told you about Aaron. It's the reason I don't use Opera, but if that code or whatever were added I'd use it again. Thanks for bringing it up.:)

I like that variable width table thing in Opera, seems to be more space efficient or something to me :p
-
I've got used to it already, it doesn't bother me that much. :)
-
done. Sorry it took so long, I'm a lazy ass.
-
NOOOOOOOOOOoooooooooooooo xD Way too wide for my liking :p
At least it's still space efficient on the reply page :p
-
k, everybody agree on a width and then wake me up.
-
I suppose 2 avatar widths (120ish) would be fine :p
1 avatar width would be better, since then the spacer would have virtually no effect for posts by people with avatars :D
-
Then "Recognized Member" wouldn't fit on one line.
Hell, "Administrator" wouldn't fit on one line. You'd still have the tables misaligned on every single thread an admin posted in.
-
Cid's Knights, too. And people who use all 25 characters of their custom title.
-
I use Opera, and the table widths have been nice and even for a couple weeks now, ever since Aaron made this thread. So either someone already fixed it a long time ago, or they fixed the code in Opera beta 7 so that tables work right now.
-
I think it's Opera beta 7, yeah. I'm using version 6.
Personally, I think 165 is fine, that's what it's supposed to show up as. If it bothers people so much I suppose someone can make a new template where there are variable width tables in all browsers, but that'd be ugly ugly ugly, in my opinion.
In any case, thanks for changing it, Bleys. :)

Anybody object to trying 135 for a while and see if that's acceptable to everybody?
-
Will anyone even notice other than Opera users?
-
They would if I increased the width to 1650 instead of 165.
