Playing avi.

Having finally gotten broadband I've been downloading anime, but I'm having trouble playing .avi video files on Kazaa. I tried downloading DivX but still nothing happens, and I've tried running the files on quicktime outside the media player. Is there any way to get them working?

If it's not DivX hat makes it work, then it's XVid you'll be wanting :p

Go grab the ffdshow codec and install that - it'll play back DivX, XVid, and a few other codecs too, and is less heavy on the CPU than other filters that read the same format video :p

Also try the Nimo codec pack...I don't know the URL for Nimo, though. I'm sure someone will come along with it soon.
