Time and Steps

Origins keeps track of both steps and time. This makes me suspect that beating the game in record time has a benefit somewhere. Does anyone know if anything is unlocked from beating the game very fast? - very slow? I really hate rushing through games, prefering instead overlevelling to crush dungeons easily.

I don't know if time or steps matters. Square has used both to help you track your progress in other Final Fantasies. My guess is that they are showing it as an extra stat for people who are curious as to how long or how many steps it takes them.

They're just retrofitting it because the later games had such counters.

TIme and Steps are a reacoring event! and they have no point :p

In FFVI The More Steps you Have Alows one of Stragos' attacks to work but thats it!
