What is this smily?

This might go in off topic, but I think it concerns FF7.

What is this :chop: supposed to be? To me it looks like Tseng lopping off Palmer's head with a sword. I could be mistaken...

I think it's just a Random Samurai Guy killing a Random Old Military Guy.

It's strange that he switches the sword from his left hand to his right in the middle of his attack.

I'm pretty sure that it IS Tseng chopping off Palmer's head.

No, no, no, definitely Mega Man killing a militaryesque Colonel Sanders.

Pfft, the sword doesn't make contact :p

One way or another, the guy on the left is definitely the Palmer we all know and love. The clown-like three tufts of hair give him away.

I think the sword stays in his left hand. I'm confused as to how his left arm manages to become his right arm, while his true right arm goes behind him, like a real right arm. xD

This calls for some deep analysis...:p
Has anyone got the means to capture the animation frame-by-frame so we can see the whole thing clearly?

As far as I can tell, the sword switches hands in mid-swing.

I have a program for that. I'll check it out.


1st Frame: Sword in left hand

2nd, 3rd, 4th and 5th Frame: Sword in Right hand

6th Frame: Sword back in left hand


That would be difficult to do.

After looking at that I made my own little sprite. it's attached.

I love that choppy smiley, I think it is supposed to resemble someone annoyed at their boss for not giving them a promotion
