Whenever I enter chat on EoFF the popup for the Java virutal machine pops up and I click yes and the "always trus....." checkbox but the download of the virtual machine never happens and I get an error message from the Microsoft website. Did I do something wrong
That's because the Microsoft Java VM sucks :p You want to download Sun's Java VM from http://java.sun.com instead, and install that :p
Might want to test on something other than EoFF chat though, the server's down again at the moment :p

The Sun Java VM is huge. 7.88 megs to be exact, it's a biatch to DL through 56k. Ok I hope this works.

Still no word on the server - the entire network it was on just vanished :p There's always irc2.beyondirc.net though :p
EDIT: Yeah, it's back as the announcement says :p
Interestingly, the server has an uptim of 17 days, indicating that is was a network failure, not server failure. Apparently, it was along the lines of "the network cable was pulled out and no-one noticed" :p
