I think it's fun to make birthday threads for people with funny names that never post. The point isn't to wish happy birthday, but to laugh at a great screenname. That is less spammy than actual happy birthday threads, if you ask me.

I take it one of these such threads was closed? I say we leave these kinds of threads open under the condition that we get to close all legitimate birthday threads (except for mine, of course).

I say we ban them altogether. If you post a birthday thread, then both you and the birthday person get banned. One for being the cause and one for being the thread starter.

Get rid of the calendar and don't display birthdays on the main page. Problem solved.

I'm sorely tempted to do just that, you know.

Just so that people won't remember my birthday.

Actually, that's a pretty good idea, getting rid of the b-days in the calendar and the forum index, so the only way to know is by clicking on the person's profile.

Lets just get of everything that's not absolutly necessary.
