in order to fight nemesis, u need to catch every fiend in the game for the old dude in the monster arena. after u do that, u need to fight and defeat every ORIGINAL monster he creates, then Nemesis will be selectable in the Original monsters group. Hehe, ur in for a tough fight....and i mean tough.
the easiest way to beat nemesis in a reasonable amount of time... do as follow:
* have agility at 175+ (220 is ideal)
* have attack at 200+ (255 is ideal)
* have every one know quick hit
* auto-haste on everyone, or cast hastega at beginning
- attack w/ quick hit until nemesis's turn approaches
- have yuna summon, and attack with the summon
- aeon will die
- repeat... after 101 hits of 99,999, he will die (proven!!)
* do not use overdrives, as he will counterattack
* use magus sisters as last resort for massive damage
* nemesis is vulerable to doom, but that takes longer, and you wont get the overkill bonus. it takes 255 turns for doom to work, and only 101 (minimum, if u hit at 99,999 each time, and dont use magus sisters) to beat him
* you will get a weapon or armor each time you beat him
* number of abilities in equipment, 3-4
* number abilities, 1
* abilities, break damage limit, break hp limit

o yeah, almost forgot to credit CB! at gamefaqs for some of the information i listed: power, defense, magic, m. defense, speed... i knew evade percentage. but the rest was from him
I believe you need to catch ten of every non-boss, non-robot fiend in the game for nemesis to be available. It's kinda obvious, but to capture these monsters you need to buy the weapons from the monster arena guy and kill the monsters with them. Also the monster arena is located in a cave in the calm lands. It's easy to miss or forget something in a huge game like FFX so I thought I'd make sure you had all the necessary information.:D
its also an easy way to level up
