Cid on FFVI [SPOILER]

I dont really understand, but I keep feeding Cid all the fast moving fishes I can find, (SPOILER)yet he still dies....:( . What am I doing wrong???

If you feed Cid plenty o' fast-moving fish - the really fast ones which appear only occasionally - he should recover. Don't feed him any other fish, and don't starve him either. It's not easy and it's fairly time-consuming, but keep it up and the jolly old rain-coated guy should pull through.:)

It's more fun to watch him die though, he doesn't do anything for you if he lives.

It gives too much work to feed him only the fastest fishes, so I let him die.

And I kinda like to see the cutscene when Celes is attempting suicide cuz she's depressed for being alone in that weird island and thinking about Locke and her lost friends... It's pretty touching.

Cid could live! So if you feed him only the fastest fish, he will live. But then you don't get to see the scene with Celes and the bird who drops Locke's bandanna? That was one of my favorite scenes.

Yeah, I always kill him, myself. Adds much more to the story.
