VoIP

Anyone had any experience with VoIP? Or know anyone who has? See for example http://www.sipphone.com/ . It seems like a good idea for those of us who make regular long distance / international phone calls. Do you think it's too good to be true? Always have to be on the lookout for shysters.

Cisco has phones that work using broadband, and, afaik, it works. I heard the rate/min is cheap, but I don't know how much the device costs.

*stares for 3 seconds*

oh, you mean voice over IP! I had no idea it was residential ready, but if you could find persons using the product elsewhere, and there is connectivity to your locale, then all the power to you.

Until then, I'll be waiting just like you for globalised (or at least cross-country) VoIP and fiber optics.
