Turning a Tarutaru into Vivi or BM...

Okay, you've gotten FFXI, you've built a Tarutaru Black Mage...and you've realized they're a bunch of baby-talking dollyboys. And you just cleaned the blood off your Official 8-Bit Theater Black Mage Mage Masher of Stabbity Death(patent pending), and want a serious Black Mage...vacuous black face, giant white eyes and all.

The question is, what items must you wear to achieve this effect? As you discover bits and pieces of the "dark black mage" puzzle, post the items with screenshots here, so we can all step into this game with evil grins alight, knowing the next one of our overly-cute kin to use the words "childy-wildy" is getting a Firaga up his little brown nose.

I think the black hollow face and yellow eyes is impossible. The best you'll probably get is the Vivi outfit.

To do this... you need the black mage's best armor. Then you get the design from FFI. It's the 'tacticional' set of armor I think. I saw a black mage sportting it all, very nice.

Zaphier, do you know what the stats are from that "tacticional' set of armor? Is it any good?

You say FF1...would that be more resembling a Black Mage, or Black Wizard? Can you provide screenshots, anyone?

Basically, a black mage. Which look similar to Vivi, although you won't be able to get it to look EXACTLY like Vivi.

Don't really remember the stats, but it was all level 50 armor, with lots of defense and most of them increased intelligence.... a lot.

Well I'll know what to look out for when I'm at a high enough level then. ;)

For some reason though, I remember it was all green, like the old school dark wizard... maybe I'm just imaginin' things. Bleh, I'll tell you all when I get that armor in the future... the far future mind you.

ITs either the AF armour or one of those Combat Caster cloaks things, for the AF its a quest for each piece. For the combat caster, its a hefty price.
