General Chat

I don't like the way the General Chat forum is run, its a general chat forum, you can put anything on it

Not really. I can't put porn in there... or anywhere else on this board. Not that I'd want to.

No, General Chat is not for everything. General Chat is for topics that don't fit in any of the other forum categories, and it still has to have a point and be tasteful. These forums don't have a spam forum for that reason.

Almost anything is allowed, compared to other forums. But there's a limit to the amount of stupidity most people here can tolerate.

General usually implies anything... I'm not sure what you'd rather see.

Probably maybe because his threads specifically for a certain person was closed that he's complaining?

Spam forums are where you can put anything in. General Chat is not a spam forum.

"General Chat" is a forum for people to be able to chat about things together. It is for discussion. Your threads were directed at one person it seems, they didn't ask for discussion, hence why they were closed. After all, what would other members have been able to post in them?

Basically if you want to chat to one person you can use PMs, if you want to discuss something and get other's views, that's what General Chat is for. Pointless posts just clutter it up, and ruin it for other members.
