Taken from Athlon Sports' 2004 baseball preview. . .
So perturbed was one Yankee fan in August 2003 that he actually put pitcher Jeff Weaver -- not his baseball card, not his jersey, not his used bubble gum (a la Luis Gonzalez), just Jeff Weaver -- up for auction on eBay. He described the ineffective mid-season acquisition as being "in fair-to-good condition, hardly used and showing minor wear" and added that he was "acquired by mistake in an attempt to keep him from wearing red socks. Must sell ASAP. Will take offer from qualified bidder... talent not included (missing talent might be located in Detroit; buyer's responsibility to procure; no guarantees)."
Another former Yankee, Jeff Nelson, once sold bone chips from his elbow on eBay, but apparently selling body parts isn't allowed. And yeah, Luis Gonzalez of the Diamondbacks sold a wad of his chewed gum for something like $10,000. I've also heard of souls, entire California towns and minor league hockey franchises being sold on eBay, too.
Well holy crap, Unne.
Search for "empty box" and look how many people sell old empty boxes, and how many people actually buy them.
I want a vintage invisible shirt... ;_;
Poop!!! it's nastey!!!!
wonder how much i'll get for a empty ps2 box *starting bid £1000000*
I don't recall the auction number for it, but I did see someone selling "absolutely nothing"

I remember a few years ago, before the Xbox was released, someone put an Xbox Box up for sale on eBay. It was just the promotional box from the stores, but people didn't realize it and the price, before the auction was shut down by eBay, got up to something like $400.

I have about 15 of those invisible teeshirts, best 400 dollars I ever spent.
*goes and buys the contra code written on a napkin*
I would not like an invisible tee shirt. Smart idea though, reminds me of Homer and his paint-on shirts (and pants!) :D
I heard of some girl selling her virginity on ebay! They highest bid got up to 18 grand before ebay admins closed the deal!
I heard about that. I heard she was like 14 or something.Quote:
