Kids are going to learn this eventually. Though this is no reason to force it upon them. What sort of justification is going on here?

I thought Christianity preached compassion and acceptance.

Anyway, the point we are supposed to get out of Jesus's suffering is that he accepted it without malice or retribution, I thought. WHat do I know, though? I don't believe any of it anyway.

It's the parents' fault for not teaching the kids the bunny doesn't exist in the first place and lying to them, like with Santa and all those other weirdos related to festivities :p Ok, so maybe whipping a bunny is a bit over the top, but at least the play gets credit for trying to be truthful in saying it doesn't exist :p

You're right on all those counts. Of course, try telling them that.

Them being a big part of the religion of course. Heh. My mom asked me why there's so much animosity directed towards Christianity, and I told her "Turn on the tv." Things like this outshadow the good, what a shame.

They've raised our culture to be critical, judgemental and punishing and this is what they get for it. I think this "incedent" is funny as Hell.

I agree with King Bahamut, I want to see the footage. Parents always bring their cameras to these school and church plays.
