I agree. I couldn't even find my PM box until about two days ago on vB3.
I don't like it over there in the corner either, but I sure don't know how to change it. I have PM pop-up messages turned on though, and now they even tell you who the PM is from and what the subject it. Its neat, even though all but one of my recent PMs have been titled "Name Change."
All cos of me! Yeah!
And...while someone is making Private Messages bigger (or if someone is making it bigger), maybe the thread that's being viewed in Who's Online can also be made bigger. :)
Turn notification on.
But pop-up killer kills the notification...or does it?
If I knew how to set it up so it was exactly like it was before, I would, but I don't know how. I might have a closer look at how it was coded in vB2 later on, but I've not been able to conjure up stuff like that with much ease beforehand.
I think it is pretty good... I noticed it the first day!
That's cuz you probably weren't around to see the happy vB2 days of bore. Those were happier times imho.
Though we still do need a newbie forum.
God, I didn't know that everyone on this board is so old. Do we need to start sending out reading glasses to all of the members?
Is the new child forum style good enough? :p Of course, being old style means you only see the PM bit on the front page too, not on every page :p
EDIT: Seems nice to me, the top is less cluttered than before, and the chocobo also turns blue when you get a new PM :p
Actually, I agree with you, crono. It took me a while to find the PM box the first time, but once you know where it is it's kind of nice to have it uncluttered and on every page like that. :)
(I still think that the threads being viewed on Who's Online should be bigger though.) :)
What threads? They're big enough to me :p
It's nice the way it is now. Is it that hard to learn to look 5 inches to the right of where you used to look? I'll answer myself, no it isn't.
