STICKY??

ok im dense iv bin her for a while now, but i still dont get what a sticky is?? :S please explain

Sticky is a thread that we think is important, so we sticky it. Stickied threads do not move from their place while they're stickied. So even if no one has posted in a stickied thread for a week, it'll still be at the top of the forum, rather than on another page.

A "Sticky" is a topic that remains at the top of the forum page regardless of how many other new threads are in that particular forum. If there's more than one "Sticky Topic" on the page, then the one with the most recent post will be located at the top.

"Sticky Topics" are supposed to be important ones. Like BoB's quizzes and Mandee's erotic announcements.

Except for the spelling error - which has now been corrected.

I prefer to see stickied topics as things of no particular importance. The only reason you have stickied threads is to prevent them from being ignored. Thus the only things of meaning are things that attempt to engage the population (ie: spammy things)
