Special Dresspheres

Did you/do you use these much, and what do you think of them?

I have all three but I've hardly used them. My main complaint is that they were too easy to get hold of. I know they are supposed to be X-2's equivalent to summons, but I would have liked it if they were more of a reward for something, and you didn't get them so quickly/easily.

I thought a lot of the abilities in some of them that you started with weren't that useful (although I guess you can learn more useful ones), and I found it quicker just to use my characters.

I didn't find them that useful either. I didn't bother to make the most out of them and learn all their abilities. I do use them occasionally, just because they look cool. Especially Paine's and double especially Rikku's. It's a huge golden machina that hurts things.

The first time I played through, I didn't use them at all. The second time, I figured I should get some use out of them. I found that they were kind of useless at first, but once you learn all of the abilities, they are useful, especially Yuna's. But, using these dress spheres takes away your ability to attack with more than one attack at a time, which is where the power in this game lies. So I've deducted that one should only use them when one is in a bind.

I found Yuna's one pretty useful the first time through, for bosses that I was having a lot of trouble beating with the regular team. I never used Rikku's all that often, and I didn't even get Paine's until the second time through. They're powerful, once they've learned some of the really good abilities, but not all that necessary. =X

by contrast i used yunas in the second half of my first play almost continuslyy, particulary at the end of the game against the bossess there. great whirl rocked.

on my second play very little an they are typical of summons normally in that after masterisation u dont use them. Trema and Paragon in Via infinito crumbled easily without them.

The last abilities they learn make then useful. I used them for bosses until I got Catnip. They saved my butt against the Ronso guy and Yojimbo and that one big thing in the desert.

The only one I use is Yuna's because I gave her the unerring path grid. Rikku and Paine has covetous I think so their not too far off either. I did use Rikkus once to see what it was like. And what does catnip do? It says when things get bad or somethin like that. I took that charecter into critical but nothin. How bad does it have to be?

Besides using them the first time after I got them so that I could see what they looked like, I only ever used Paine's once when I got in a bind against Bahamut during my first play-through.
