Takeshi's Castle
Remeber that episode of the Simpsons, 'Twenty Minutes Over Tokyo', when the family had to take part in a crazy Japanese gameshow? This programme is pretty similar, in that the contestants have to undertake a series of physical challenges, that usually end with them getting hurt, or soaked with water.
In the UK, Challenge TV shows this at around 6:00pm most days of the week. Not sure about elsewhere though.
I recommend that you see it at least once, just for the novelty value. It's pure slapstick, packed with giant plastic sets, and men in rainbow-coloured outfits. Even Craig Charles' abysmal voice-over can't ruin it.
EDIT: Don't know why I posted this in World Events. Idiot.

Takeshi's Castle is dubbed as MXC in America, that's what most people know it as. It's on Spike tv.

Hehe, this program is amusing and I love listening to Craig Charles cos he's my baby <3
I like the one with the house that they have to go through the right doors and if they get the wrong one they fall in the water xD
And I guess this belongs in The Lounge ^^ *moves*

MOST EXTREME CHALLENGE
OMG I LOVE THIS SHOW
well
loved it. They they kept showing the same things over and over and it got repetative.
-
The best show ever when you're stoned.... Oh how I love watching it :)
-
This show is great as a random show to flip to late at night. The dubs are hilarious and the challenges are ingenious. You can't find Japanese people getting run over by giant rubber balls anywhere else on TV these days. If you tune in every week I could see how it gets boring, though.
-
yeah I only watch it every once in a while so I haven't seen most of them yet.
-
Craig Charles' commentary makes this show ten times more enjoyable than it normally is.
Some of the games look a little painful, though.
-
Omg I watched it once...funny stuff. The fake dubbing makes for more hilarity.

Yeah, it's the best, I watch it all the time. Craig Charles is great!
