Ok i have a question. how come Crono never talks??
I think RPGs that do that do it so you feel more like you're the hero. The lack of dialogue puts you in a position where you can fill in the gaps of what's being said.
He says one line during the "Slideshow" ending. But, that's about it.
Correct, and correct.
Mabye he's just the strong, silent type?
He obviously does talk, like when he introduces himself to Marle. But, like Jenova-Rebirth said, it gives the player a chance to feel more like the hero. But Crono himself has to talk, because he does communicate with others. It's up to the player to decide on what he's saying, though.
Yes, Crono does speak in the game, as The Abominatrix said. It's just up to you to fill in his dialogue. Also, when you choose his response, like in the trial, that's him speaking too.
I forgot completely about the trial. Wow. Shows how long it's been since I've played it.
I wonder why both Crono and Serge don't talk. Maybe if Squaresoft makes Chrono Break the main character won't talk either.
Well, Serge "talks" in a sense if you count srugs and facoal expresions.
I think Serge talks... during the scene at Guldove where Kid's poisoned and Harle comes, she says to Korcha "...... I am having a conversation w'it Serge." So I'm sure he does.
But we never actully hear him say anything. Korcha's really just yelling at him anyways.
If he never says anything, and Crono never says anything, then how do the people they meet know their names? They clearly speak, but they leave the exact words up to the gamer's imagination.
