Has anyone ever noticed that the spectacular "Prologue Theme" from Final Fantasy I has been used in almost every Final Fantasy game until now?

Nobuo Uematsu is a pure genius.
yes.
In that picture it looks like he's trying to kill me with his mind.
yes, except it has evolved over time and had different movements added to it in different games. my fav version of it is either the ffVII or ffIX one.
Uhhh, yep.

Haha... honestly though. The man has written some amazing music able to test time. His works on the earlier FFs amazes me when you understand the difficulty of writing must for an 8-bit game. I mean... You can only have 3 voices and one of those voices has to share itself with the sounds FX track... amazing what he could do with so little.
Yup, it's just that good of a tune. A lot of the other tunes in that game are also very good. If you'll notice, the prologue and victory theme as well as the intro to the battle theme got re-used a LOT throughout the series.
i noticed that almost all of the battle themes have a very similar bassline. i think uematsu probably builds the bassline first and then puts the treble on top of it. all of the basslines in msot of the games are so so so soooo similar.
Well, I heard in FFXII the battle music will be completly different, so...
I noticed it. It's a wonderful piece of music, and each game seemed to increase its perfection. I was really disapointed when it wasn't in FFX.
Prelude is in FFX. It's just really, really bad.
