Those are Norse Runes which read, 'Zantetsuken'. When Seifer kills Odin, the runes read, 'Zantetsuken Reverse'.
And Zantetsuken is Japanese for "steel slice sword". Or was that iron? I don't actually speak Japanese..... :eep:
In Chinese characters (which is almost formal japanese characters, sort of) it reads Steel Something Blade. I'm not that good at chinese anyhow.
Steel Bladed Sword perhaps? That's how his attack is called in FFVII
I've only ever heard that it means "slice" or "cutting".
It's horrible I hate when Odin appears!!!!!! I was so happy to defeat that mosnter by myslef and ta-daa he appears! He only apprears when I am not in trouble... I was so fine defeating Seifer and he appears... why?????? And after that his attacks are so unuseless!
Thats because it's not Odin... (SPOILER)Seifer reverse the attack. and Odin dies. The guy that appears after that is Gilgamesh the NGUBG from FFV
I read somewhere the correct translation is "Iron Cutting Sword"
where can i find info on the legend of odin or something? what type of mythology is it?

Okay, then what's it say when (SPOILER)Seifer does that to Odin at the end of Disc3 (if you have Odin)?
Ah, I can't remember. I'll try and check it up later.
I believe it says "Zantetzuken Counter" or something like that.
