Mythril Sand
A while back I bought a couple pickaxes and went to the Palborough Mines to try my luck at mining. I had no idea what I was doing, didn't have any mining equipment or any idea of what I would find. Anyway I went and I found a few mining spots and dug up a few chunks of mythril gravel (i think that's what it was called). I took the chunks and saw a refinery machine located in the mines. Curiosity got the better of me and I put all the chunks in and turned the machine on. I then went and picked them up at the bottom of the machine. They had turned into Mythril Sand (or Mythril Dust, not sure). I was just wondering what the point of these are since I've had them for a while and they are taking up space in my mog house.

If memory serves, thier just a quest item. Although I think they also could be used in a crafting of sorts, but I could be wrong.

Non-craftable.
They are the Mission Items, if you are from SanDoria or Windurst and is doing Mission 6, and if you choose to go to Bastok first, you will have to do this quest for the emissionary mission. These serve no other purpose.
