Is this true?
Hi. I read in a random thread in GC that Nobuo Uematsu was retiring. Rather than look it up myself, I decided to post a thread asking; ESS EET TRU?!?! And if so, what other video game composers do you find worthy enough to take his place?
If it's not true then stab me and discuss why I'm a ninny.

I heard that as an April's Fool joke once. It's possible.
-
He cant be retiring , he just did an FF Concert with his band "The Black Mages"
HE CANT RETIRE NOW, THIS IS A OUTRAGE!!!
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
EDIT: (-_-) -Murder

Uhhh, Grover, as much as a feel the same way, please remember this is just unfounded rumor that I was trying to get clarified :)

Never believe such proofless crap in forums. However, don't disbelieve it either, it's always possible. Just, don't get surprised if it turns out to be true.
-
He will retire, sooner or later. Maybe someone should check his official website to check if it's true or not. I'd volunteer, but I'm lazy.
-
-IF- he were retiring, Koji Kondo could take his place... (He did the LOZ music)
-
It's possible. Everyone retires sooner or later(or dies before that :p) and he is getting pretty old..
-
If he were to retire Id say Yasunori Mitsuda would be a good replacement.
-
Yasunori Mitsuda is apparently getting out of video games, which is a shame because he's quite talented. He didn't do Xenosaga 2, someone else did, from what I hear.

Yeah, that's what I heard too. Or was I the one who said that? :rolleyes2
