If it has turned on fire then it means that the thread has turned into a flame war!

it means that your thread is so awesome its not being destroyed, lol :D
but really, all it means is that it was viewed either 500 times or it has been posted in at least 100 times. thus why it's considered "hott". EoFF likes to play with puns, not guns :D
