ff Boss Tournment-Grand final
482 bosses arrived at the dawn of creation. Only 64 were selected to survive and rule the cosmos.
However the inevitable fights began...for there could be only one no 1 boss.
And now the last two are ready...ready to finish the book of revelation and bring the coup de grace, to the world, and themselves.
Thank you to EVERYONE who voted n the boss tournment's. i will write a list later of all who helped this surprise final coming about. Gods fell to surprising foes...even the awesome Sephiroth, the powerful penance, and the legendary Kefka, fell to the way side.
So, how did our finalists get here?
Route to the final
Kuja(ffIX)
Qualifying rounds
Originally given a seeding of 3*, Kuja was in good stead, and expected to progress through the ffIX qualifying rounds with ease..
so his 7-0 crushing of his minion Valia Pira was not surprising.
A final Qualifying round against Garland was potentially tricky...but an impressive 7-1 win saw him through to the boss tournment finals.
Group Stages
Kuja was seeded second in group P, but he soon showed he was number one in the group.
He tore Tiamat(ffI) a new one with a 3-0 win, did the same too Darkcloud(ffIII).
And when he beat Krysta(4-1), he was labelled a serious title contender.
Last 32
Having topped his group easily, he was ready for more blood. Bahamat(ffIV) was next to feel pain, losing 4-0.
Last 16
Next was his first real test...Penance(ffX), the god of super bosses. But hardness does not make you the best, Kuja trashed him 7-1!
Quarter Finals
Lich(ffI) had knocked out Emerald weapon. but it all counted for nothing against Kuja(ffIX), winning heavily again, 7-2.
Semi-finals
Bahamat(ffVIII) was considred the god of Bahamat bosses. but he too fell to Kuja, 9-1.
Can anyone resist Kuja(ffIX)?
Hades(ffIX)
Qualifying rounds
Both from the same ff game, they qualified from the same group. Hades was seeded 5*, so they would not meet eachother in this qualifying stage. Hades however, did not have it as easy...
Hades had a tough first opponent, the book optional boss, Tantarian. He took him down 6-1.
a very tight final qualifying round, gave him a 5-3 win over Garlands little pet Silver Dragon.
Group Stages
Hades(fIX) was ranked third in his Group C.
He did well beating the ffX-2 Chac 4-1. Then he crushed Medusa(ffIII) 4-0.
However he lost the battle to win the group, losing to Omega Weapon(ffVIII) 3-1. Omega Weapon would later lose to Bahamat(ffVIII) in the Quarter finals.
Last 32
Entered as a group runner up, he had a tricky task against Shinryu(ffV). However the reputation of the Dragon did not sway him...Hades won 5-1.
Last 16
Hades faced one of his own. Necron, the last boss of ffIX. Hades struck him down 5-3. what a titanic battle.
Quarter Finals
Reno(ffVII) was unseeded. Yet, had beaten Sephiroth in qualifying, as well as Ultima Weapon and Greiver. three of the 6 favourates fell to him. But Hades stopped his awesome run, winning 7-3.
Semi-finals
Lich from ffIX now battled his brethren. he had knocked out many, including top fan and wildcard Gilgamesh(ffV). So hades 7-3 win was even more sweet. He has come from obsurity to the final of ff tournments most prestigious prize.
So who deserves to be crowned champion?
