Laguna's name has two inspirations.And don't forget about Raine.
- Tetsuya Nomura has a thing for Laguna Beach, California.
- In Japanese, Ragnarok is spelled ra-gu-na-ro-ku. The first three syllables there, ra-gu-na--"Ragna"--can also be transliterated as "Laguna." This ties into Laguna's relationship with the spaceship Ragnarok in the game's plot; it could even be construed that the people of Esthar named it after him.
I'd like to say that 'Laguna' in spanish means 'Lagoon'. & What 'bout Raine? Rain XD
