Metal Gear Solid 2: Solid Snake...not Sons of Liberty

hello everybody :)

while i was browsing through the konami site, i clicked on this link ( http://www.konami.net/appli/metalgear2/index.html ) that showed "metal gear solid 2: solid snake". I personally thought it was going to show me "metal gear solid 2: sons of liberty" but in fact it showed me into this other different game...Like ive said the game that i was looking at was called "metal gear solid 2: solid snake" and the graphics were of the kind of the NES era. In one of the pictures, which shows the title screen, it shows on the year, and that the game was published at 2004. This is when it got weird...i thought it was a joke, but it wasnt.

If anyone can please tell me more about this game, what system they are going to release it, and if it is a new game to the metal gear solid franchise, please reply, it b greatly appreciated :) thank you

It's not Metal Gear Solid it's just the sequel to the first Metal Gear game which was on the NES, from what I heard MG2 was horrible.

MG2 wasn't bad. It was the spin-off Snake's Revenge that sucked.

yeah, its the prequel to the MGS series.

Metal Gear 2 was about Zanzibar Land. It's when Snake killed Grey Fox and Big Boss, as I recall.

This is a port to a cell phone, as far as I can tell.


also, those are MSX style graphics, not NES.

I played and beat the game. I never beat it. You can search for it on yahoo and find a MSX emulator and the rom for the game. Its a lot of fun and it plays a lot like MGS. I would go as far to say that the game is MGS in 2D almost. Very fun game.

Controls where kind of hard to figure out BTW.

The game is ancient and all is explained in MGS on PSX. I say the time for spoilers on this game has LOOOONG since passed.
