In the game before Grippal disappears he said that he and rikku used to be a couple or something like that and Rikku said it wasen't true. so was there ever anything between them?? :confused: someone please tell me because i'm almost done with the game i'm about to go to the farplane and i don't think i'll find out there.
There is a slight possibility something may have happened between them, but I think it's safe to assume there was something (go to Djose Temple during chapter 3 (before it becomes a Hotspot) to see Rikku acting very nervous around Gippal, something which is very out of character for her). There are also a few exchanges during the final sequence that would suggest the two of them have a history.

go to Luca, were the fake-laughing sceen was, and follow the moogle, you should find out a little about R&G at the end of that sequence. . . I think
