Everyone knows that you could only buy Pheonix Downs in the faulty versions of FF7.
What's a phoenix down?
Feathers of a phoenix, which when sprinkled on the corpse of one of your dead, brings them back to life, minus the craving for human brains. Usually.
But after Aeris is stabbed by Sephiroth, you could drown her in it, and it wouldn't make a speck of difference. Much like Galuf's sacrifice to lay an old-school beat-down on X-Death in Final Fantasy V.
