I started a new game today and I've been naming most characters after my friends at eoff. Zidane and Garnet I named after offline friends, but so far I have:
Vivi: Nicky (Calliope)
Steiner: Yams
Freya: Leeza
I haven't decided on the rest yet. Anyone else do this? Who here do you think best mathces each character?
I think you should call Eiko Xander cos she's cute and she has a moogle for a best friend, aww, I wish I did. ;__;
most of the time, i start by giving characters names from previous Final Fantasy games. :tongue: :tongue:

I named Link WesLY in the last game of A Link to the Past I played. I'm sure there have been others, as well, I just can't think of any offhand.
If I were to match myself with any character it'd be Amarant, probably. Eiko I'd name after Dixie if I were using eoff people, but I doubt I'd use eoff people for FF9 characters. Dunno why.
I use my real life friends because I have to show some signs of loyalty to them somewhere.
I'm pretty sure I'm naming Amarant "Spuuky".
