Jenova BIRTH query??

Yesterday i decided to re-play "FFVII". Ok I'm on the boat leaving Junon and heading for Costa Del Sol. Everyhting was going fine i was fighting Jenova BIRTH and as you do, i beat her quite the thing. Now here is the "query??" The item screen came up after the battle, but after the item screen i was straight back into another battle with jenova. Also i started the second battle with the HP/MP i ended the first with.Is this suppossed to happen? It's been so long since i last played this game? :confused: Quite preculuar i would saaay.

I don`t recall anythin like that happinin when i beat jenova i think sumthin might be wrong with the disc or your playstation

yeha dude i think u gt a bug or sumthing juss clean ur disc or sumthing coz some thing similar happened to me.

Oh well thanks for the help hopes it not my playsation just got a ps2 a month or two ago
