I'd stay away from macalania though. The sheer viciousness of fiends there for underlevelled girls is SCARY. at least in chapter 3 maybe.

Best thing to do is just start a loop going like, mug an enemy, cure with white mage, do something to restore mp with the third.

I can't remember the really good loops though. Most of them involve alchemists and hipotion stashes.

thunder plains is good in ch. 1 -3; besaid for ch. 1. kilika is also good for ch 1 & 2. just go through the game as usual, going to all the missions, including the side ones so you would get maximum % and when you get to ch. 5, go to the via infinito =D best level up/train/master DSs place in my opinion.
