i can't seem to find a really big connection to the two. seems almost coincidental though to me.
"To Zanarkand" is the piano piece that opens the game. The "Techno Style" song you're talking about is simply the old fashioned "Prelude", but jazzed up. Also, the prelude is present in - dare I say it - every Final Fantasy game in some fashion or other. Yes, even FFVIII.
I knew I got the titles mixed up...I guess it's another one of the FF staples, like chocobos or cuddly characters like moogles...
Yes it does sound familiar. But, not just to FFVII's prelude.
Try to the prelude to every Ff game up to VII. (They stopped using at VIII for some reason)

Right at the very end of the game. You hear it as you see the FMV of the airship flying off into the distance. It only lasts for about ten seconds, though.Quote:
