Because, it's hard to have a normal relationship when you and your partner can read eachothers' mind. Which all celebrities can do.

Celebrity relationships are known for their infamous break-ups within a month or so. It seems to me (to everyone, I think) that the more famous you are, the more difficult it is to uphold a true relationship. Sure you can have little flings for a while, but I doubt they're serious. Probably more of a scam to get more publicity, or something for the stars to do in their spare time until they can have a chance to settle down.
