Let me ask your opinion
Do you like the fact that monsters in this game do not progress with your strength?
Personally, I hated it when Square started doing that for the Playstation FF's. I like investing time to get stronger than the enemy and effectively crushing anything that comes in your way.

VIII is the only FF where monsters get stronger. And I didn't even recognize this fact when I played it, so I can't say if I dislike it...
-
I don't think that it's good when monsters level up with you, cos then, there's absolutely no point in leveling up. It's only good if you want an easy game...
-
They only did that in FFVIII and it wasn't pointless because it allowed you to draw higher level magic.
-
Well, also in Tactics. :D
I don't like it, though.

I like the monsters lvling with you... I don't like going too far out of my way to make myself underleveled nor do I like the game to be overly easy... so monsters whom lvl with you was a good idea in my opinion, although I think monsters should always be slightly tougher.

having to take the time to level-up in order to progress makes for a more challenging experience, in my opinion. i'd rather be forced to take 3 hours of straight fighting in order to pass a boss or whatnot. monsters levelling w/ u made FFVIII too easy.
