Favorite period in history?

Well, what your your favorite period in history be?

Mine is from 1900-1950, or, more specificly, World War II. I don't know why, but it has always, and continues to, fascinate me.

That's like WWI and WWII combined. You greedy pig.

I like the Renaissance Period. A lot of great artwork came out then.

Midievil, or however you spell it.

I'm interested in Euro-Mediterranean history from about the fall of the Roman Empire to about the Romantic Period. In fact if I ever go for a Masters in history I will specialize in that area.

American Civil War, 1850-1870-ish. Good stuff.

Oh, forgot:

My second-favorite period would be the Julio-Claudian period of the Roman Empire. I, Claudius is one of the best historical fiction books ever written, and really got me interested in the time period.

Either Ancient Greece or the WWII era.

I enjoy learning about the age of Greek mythology.
