Don't think so.
To my knowlege, only FF9 had that option, and it was pretty lame.
Yes, it is possible but you'll need a controller and a hammer.
One person plays the game while the other beats them senseless with the hammer for playing FFVIII in the first place.
Actually, the FF4 remake for PSX has a 2 player option. I don't think FF9 had that option.
final fantasy 4, 5, 6, 9 all had the 2 player option and i played them all 2 players with my girlfriend, and u can play seven and eight with two players on the computers but one person needs a game controller (not a hammer) and the other use a keyboard or other controller. oh and by the way not every one likes the final fantasy that u like so shut it mister mullet. i like em all. they all have there strong points and week points. hey i thought seven's story line sucked but i know all the main streamers like it so i dont talk . well i suggest that some of u get a friend and play like 6 with two players its pretty kool. u get to share the expierience and ur not in a room isolated from the world.
Imagine a two player world. Split screen or whatever, but one person goes chasing off butterflies as laguna and the other mopes around as squall.
Now *That* would be leet.
indeed it would, indeed it would
I'd play with myself.
I remember in the scene where Drew Barrymore ran naked through someones house in Charlie's Angels, they showed two kids playing FFVIII. I was like, "Ummm....they didn't have a two player option in that one."
Who cares? She was naked!
My girlfriend was wathcing me type that, so I couldn't say anything. Hopefully, she won't come across this post.Quote:

You can only do that with the 4 member party FFs, post NES.
