Yes, it taught me that either in excess is a bad thing - we need both light and dark to balance each other out.
I learnt that even the most seemingly worthless of gifts can be greater than anything else.

I learned that it's possible to play though slow NES rpgs.
The best defense is to equip two swords and kill everything quickly, shields suck.

Jump into pits and caves. Never leave a path unexplored, no matter how perilous and no matter how mind bogglingly long and rough it is to traverse. Ultimately something will happen and that event will be good (For somebody)
It also taught me that "Genji" equipment is awesome. I wish I knew where that term came from.
