Nah. You lost the huge materia. And if you want the Ultima materia, you have to pay 50,000 gil rather than getting it for free. You don't need all the huge materia's anyway, unless you're planning on getting all the master materia (one orbs gives you all abilities of that color, though, they are very hard to obtain anyway). So, no, you aren't going to miss out on much.
Is your first time playing the game? You're bound to miss all sorts of stuff on the first playthrough. I suggest forgetting about it this time and getting it on your second playthrough.
