Stella (For Marcus)

Does anyone like these guys? Those of you that watch I Love The (decade) are familiar with one of the members already, Michael Ian Black. The group has done a stand-up special on Comedy Central Presents and also had a DVD of skits (which I know at one time you could watch on heavy.com), and now they've got their own Comedy Central show. Taking a cue from Battlestar Galactica, which released the first episode of the second season online to increase interest, Comedy Central has put the first episode of the show online.

I think this stuff is hilarious. I doubt it's the kind of show that'll last, but will probably remain a cult classic like all the other shows that were done in the same style (UCB, Strangers With Candy, Other Shows I Can't Remember).

I actually heard the commercial playing from the other room about 2 minutes ago, and I'd seen it a couple days ago. Michael Ian Black can be pretty funny, so I'd like to check this show out. Stand up and improv are great, and with a name like "Stella" you know this is gonna be pretty original.

The most genius show I've seen in a long, long time.

I guess it's safe to say at this point that I am totally obsessed with Stella. After religiously watching all seven of their aired episodes so far and also finally getting my hands on the Stella shorts compilation DVD I have finally given in to the fact that Michael Ian Black, Michael Showalter, and David Wain are the best thing to happen to American television in quite a while.
