I'm pretty sure you can get him in Chapter 2...I forget the precise circumstances, but I'm pretty sure you can.

well, anyone know where, i have the limited edition stragity guide and the only time it mentions him in ch2 is at the monster thing in teh calm lands, but u need to get him to yur airship first
I suggest going to mushrrom rock road or mihen highroad...i think that's where he is
yea, ive been there couple times now, im about to go into ch3, but still nothing. Damn, i want that dress spahre, i think the hardest one to get is the samurai
