Even if it didn't get a release outside Japan, you could just import it.

It'd be cool to play this game on a handheld.

2D on a sony system? Sorry pal, but given sony's past actions with 2D fighting games, I don't believe it will make a north american release.

PSP games are universal, you can play them on PSP's brought from anywhere. But I agree with gibbi8, I got it on PS2, I don't want it on a handheld.

Well, it is a Sony game device, but it's graphical limitations can allow 2D fighters to pass.

I honestly dont know if it will be even close to Darkstalkers which is the best fighter on PSP at the moment anyway

Well, there was GGX Advance, but, even though I haven't played a console GGX, I'm pretty sure it pales by comparison. The music was all NES quality and even on the hardest difficulty you could button mash through the single player.

So it'd be cool to play a good version of this game on a handheld would be more appropriate.

I know there making a GG game for the DS and PSP, not sure if that is it though.
