Why does it seem that many poeple post newbie threads? If you have created one, discuss why! Woot... boredom at it's best!

I created one because ... Well... I was bored... And I wanted and welcome or two... Or three.

Back in my day we didn't have newbie threads and we had to walk to each thread on a 56k connection and we respected the knights.
