Is Relm pointless?

I happen to love Relm's theme music and I liked her personality, but as I played through FF6 so many times, I found her character didn't have much of a role in the WoR.

So I was wondering, when y'all pick your parties for Kefka's Tower, which two characters do you leave behind?

Speaking of theme music... whose is your favorite and why?

Relm has the highest natural Magic Power out of any characters in the game if I'm not mistaken.

I generally leave behind Setzer (sometimes Cyan) and Gau.

I believe each character's theme music fits its respective charcter almost perfectly in FFVI, but the one that I think fits the best it probably Relm's.

You just gotta know how to use her.

I would say that Relm is very pointless. To the extent that she is so, so smooth.

the only importance to relm is that shes (SPOILER)shadows/clyde arrownysdaughter.my favourite theme tune is lockes.(lockes is the one played near the start when you get to use alll of the moogles to protect terra right?

last time i left terra and relm behind because those were the only ones i didnt max yet

I leave Gau behind. I havnt got Shadow back so i cant leave anyone else. But if I did then it would probably be Strago

Gau and Cyan

I always leave Strago, and usually ... lemme think ... Shadow, I think. The two worst characters in the game. At least Relm is somewhat useful, with her magic and Control. And Gau, with a Snow Muffler and maybe a Zephyr Cape or two, is nearly untouchable... Yeah, Strago and Shadow are left behind.

Mog's is my favorite theme music. Definitely.

I usually leave Gau and Strago behind. I never really liked earning all their crap.

I always put a merit award on Relm and she can fo' real kick some butt!

I agree that all of the character's theme music fits to a 't'. I liked relm's the best though. I would get in that battle with ultros and when she came in I would leave the game playing and just listen to it for hours (sometimes days). I think this is why I loved FF6 so much. I am a music ed major and that game is what got me interested in music. All of the themes are so good. I do like Kefka's theme a lot too though.
I have gotten online and downloaded sheet music for kefka, it can be addictive.

Do any of you find yourself this obsessed with FF game music?

gau and stago are the ones i leave behind.

I leave behind Gau and Umaro, because they're the ones you can't control and don't have any reason story-wise to go kill Kefka (so does Gogo, but at least he's useful).
Relm is (at least without Esper bonuses) the most powerful spellcaster in the game.
