Why do people think Shadow is so good? I see it all the time, people think Shadow is the only character you'll ever need. His stats aren't as good as some of the other characters, his weapons aren't as good as some of the other characters, you don't have him long enough in the WoB to teach him much... So what's so great about the guy? I mean hell, it's almost as bad as Aeris freaks.
It's cos he's just cool. :cool:
im not a big shadow fan(and aeris is my least favourite FF character ever so i wouldnt call it close to as stupid as the aeris freaks.)but some like shoadow because hes cool and his backstory and mysteriousness.and also in battle he can throw and has interceptor in his counter attacks.
Shadow can do a lot of damage with his Throw ability but it's expensive to keep buying weapons!
I'm not a die-hard fan but I've seen his dreams in the WoR and I think they're rather sad.
I also think it's sad that he never reconciles with Relm.
Especially since he must know she's his daughter, especially after the whole Interceptor not biting her head off thing.

I think he's the real hero of the game. He saves people numerous times in the game. That's probably why alot of people like him.

Actually when you think of it... if you really trained like those crazy FFVII people, all of your guys would be pretty much the same in the end... or almost.
i never used shadow or even got him in WoR but i can see why people like him and i like him too.he a mysterious hero.
Is it just me, or Shadow looks like Casshern, just in black? He's even got a Dobermann that looks so much like Casshern's cyborg dog...it's all Amano design, so I wonder if it was some unconscious repetition of a beloved standard or a self-quote.
I think Casshern has a more complex design. And is he even a ninja of any kind?
Shadow's cool because:
- he's a ninja
- he is better than the terribly useless characters like: Strago, Relmz or Gau
- dog's are cute
- he can chuck stuff
May not be able to train him much in WoB but you got all the time you need in WoR. He's one of my standard fall-back characters. There's like 6-8 people I always use, and of course he's one of them. Maybe not the final 4, but deffnitely up there. Though yeah, he's certainly not my favorite character. But I did take the time to max him out with the rest of my favorites.
I don't think he's anything special. His "Throw" command, like someone else already said, is useful, but I can live without him. I don't find him, as a character, that appealing anyways. "Meh."
