One line post, spam?

Does the staff consider one line notes to be spam? For example the thread title is "Food" and someone replies: "I like food". Is that considered to be spam? Or just quoting someone else without posting anything yourself, is that considered spamming? I'd like to know. ^^

I consider it spam when someone will quote a long post (or any post really) and then just have xD or LOL or something for a response.

Depending on the context, but using nothing but a smilie to post is spam. I like food. isn't quite spam, but it's a pretty pointless post.

For me, it depends on if it contributes to the discussion.

"I like food." That contributes.
":P" That does not.

People need to use their brain :p

Spam is off topic banter. That's all it is. One liners are fine, because as you can clearly see, two liners aren't much either.
