Does Tidus look Japanese?

I just wanted to get other people's opinion on this. Someone form another message board says he looks more SouthEast Asian (Thai, Malaysian, Indonesian, etc.) than Japanese, while I believe otherwise.

He's Zanarkandianeseish.

In FMV mode, he's asian. In gameplay mode, he's just a tanned white boy. Same with Yuna and Rikku.

Kinda like in FF7, where characters would look [img]/xxx.gif[/img][img]/xxx.gif[/img][img]/xxx.gif[/img][img]/xxx.gif[/img]ty in gameplay mode, and slightly less [img]/xxx.gif[/img][img]/xxx.gif[/img][img]/xxx.gif[/img][img]/xxx.gif[/img]ty in FMVs.

He does look a bit asian, but with the blond hair it kind of throws things off. But the more I think about what his face is like...yeah, he looks pretty asian. IF you're talking about FMV mode, like DocFrance already mentioned. I couldn't tell you where the hell he was from though. Cause I'm racist. :cool:

a lot of FF characters look Asian-ish. Rinoa, Tidus, me (no duh), the old Rikku, Tifa AC, etc. well, at least in FMVs they do.

this question always arises when I play a new FF.....

I don't know..Sometimes he looks Japanese, sometimes no.

All the Final Fantasies fmvs the characters look like Asians. Although his blond hair can bring some doubts about this matter. Not to mention the origins of his name: Tidus. It's a Greek name right? :shifty:

he got tanned skin and looks slightly japanese in the face but FF was made in japan so one or two characters will looks slightly japanese.

That and the fact that the game's setting was based on Okinawa.

but what i've heard the japanese have a very big obbesion with white people so it wouldn't surprise me if any of there video game characters or anime looked like that.

in the FMV's they all look more asian, except Kimahri hu isnt even human, in general, i didnt really think any of em looked excedingly asian.
