In Chrono Cross, it is possible to somehow have your stamina points to be not a whole number, such as 6.9. How is this achieved? Magic costs seven points and restores one, physical hits cost one, two, and three each, and restore as many, defending restores one as well, until you defend for your entire turn and the enemy attacks. So what might cause you to have .6 stamina points?

Each character has their own stamina recovery rate, which you can check on the status screen. If they have a recovery rate of 1, they will recover one point for every action. If they have a recovery rate of 1.1, they will get 1.1 points every time they would ordinarily earn just one. Some characters also have a recovery rate of 0.9. Some accessories affect the stamina recovery rate as well.
